Dynise spent over 20 years in the restaurant and hospitality businesses, honing an innate love for all things relating to food, wine, travel and luxury products. Her mother had instilled an affinity for cooking in her from the time she was knee high, resulting in preparation of her first multi-course meal by the age of 13. The inner oenophile was discovered at the ripe old age of 17. A bottle of worthy Beaujalais, that was the reward for returning a lost wallet, opening her eyes to what food and wine pairing could be.
During daylight hours the lust of her inner geek for higher learning was satiated by time at UCLA, Sacramento State, Orange Coast College and any other school that offered an intriguing class. A cornicopia of courses that led to 184 amassed semester units in areas as diverse as English Literature, Biochemistry and Economics.
Upon turning 40 the lifelong dream to move to Europe was fast-tracked. Four months later San Francisco, California received a heartfelt goodbye, and Florence, Italy embraced the ex patriot. The perfect environment for a lover of all things indulgent, whether food, wine and beautiful objects or the indulgence of exercising the writing muscles that had been developing for decades.
